Applications are invited for the role of Administrative Officer to join the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, currently based at Andy Hocking House, Alderson Drive in Exeter.
The principal responsibilities of the role are to be the first point of contact for calls and visitors to the Offices of the PCC and to administer the OPCCs meetings as well as providing a full range of administrative, technological and secretarial support to a number of individuals and teams within the office. Providing a high level of customer focused administration and secretarial services, the successful applicant will be part of a team that ensures the smooth day to day running of the office and individuals and teams within the functional units of the office.
To perform this function, it will be vital that the successful post holder has demonstrable experience of providing excellent customer care and meeting expectations, an aptitude for technology, as well as administrative / secretarial and organisational skills. Previous experience of using Microsoft Office applications and of managing own workload without close supervision are also essential to this role. The successful candidate will be able to plan effectively, and be able to gather and present information from a number of sources in an appropriate manner.
