Important information about CSA/CSE funding

Earlier this week PCC Alison Hernandez launched a new round of Child Sexual Abuse/Child Sexual Exploitation grant funding to provide practical and emotional support to victims of child sexual abuse and/or child sexual exploitation.

Since then there have been a number of enquiries from statutory/public sector organisations asking if they could submit applications for initiatives such as workforce development around the topic.

To avoid further confusion and the wasting of time in preparation of applications, included below is an extract from the application detailing who can apply together with what type of request will not be considered.

Who can apply?

Organisations or groups who have a proven track record of working with victims of CSA/CSE are invited to apply for funding, especially those who are registered with the Devon and Cornwall Victim Care Network (VCN). Other organisations/groups applications are also invited to apply provided they are prepared to apply and register with the Devon and Cornwall VCN if successful in their application for a grant.

What the CSA Grant is NOT for

The PCC will not make awards to any applications for or from the following:

Statutory services

Individuals

Expeditions or trips

Replacement for statutory funding

Bursaries or scholarships

Projects outside Devon, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly

Retrospective applications for example for events that have already taken place

Conferences

To support activity intended to influence or attempt to influence Parliament, government or political parties, or attempting to influence the awarding or renewal of contracts or grants, or attempting to influence legislative or regulatory action
