Open and Transparent Quality Mark 2016/17 and 2017/18

Register of interests

To ensure openness and transparency, the police and crime commissioner (and relevant advisors) declare their pecuniary interests. These must be registered with the PCC's monitoring officer within 28 days of starting their term of office. If these change, the PCC (and relevant advisors) must send an updated notification within 28 days.

The monitoring officer has the specific duty to ensure that the various members of the organisation maintain the highest standards of conduct in all they do.  There are three main responsibilities:
1. To report on matters he/she believes are, or are likely to be, illegal or amount to maladministration.
2. To be responsible for matters relating to the conduct of members of the organisation.
3. To be responsible for the operation of the organisation’s operating principles.
