In April 2015 the police and crime commissioner took responsibility for the provision of victims services. Since 2021 the Victim Support is commissioned to deliver services to victims of crime.

There are lots of people of all different ages, offering their services to the Devon and Cornwall's policing family as volunteers. Special Constables, cadets, independent custody volunteers, all play their part in keeping our communities safe and protecting victims.

Police Cadet Day

The Police and Crime Commissioner Alison Hernandez and members of her team will be attending the Community Police Cadet Day to celebrate their 10 year anniversary.

In 2006 Community Police Cadets were introduced across Devon and Cornwall and since that time the scheme has significantly grown. Community Police Cadets in the Devon and Cornwall police area now have 17 units with 300+ cadets and 56 Cadet Leaders.

The Police and Crime Commissioner and members of her team will be at the event and available to speak to those attending about community safety and policing in the local area.
