The OPCC was left looking to fill these two statutory posts following the departure of CEO Andrew White to Lincolnshire Police and treasurer Duncan Walton who is retiring.

Following two extensive recruitment processes Frances Hughes (chief executive) and Nicola Allen (treasurer) were identified as preferred candidates and it was left to the Panel to confirm both appointments.

Mrs Hughes, is currently assistant director of community and customer services at Torbay Council. Mrs Allen, is currently senior assistant county treasurer with Devon County Council.

After today's confirmation, which was unanimous, both are expected to take up posts after serving periods of notice with current employers.
