PCC pleased at withdrawal of motion

Alison Hernandez is asking councillors across Devon and Cornwall to work more closely with her to improve the lives of people in the communities they serve.

PCC pleased at withdrawal of motion

Following the decision by Liberal Democrat councillors in Torbay to withdraw a vote of no confidence in the police and crime commissioner on Thursday, Ms Hernandez says it is time to put political differences aside for everyone's benefit.

"It's good to see that the councillors proposing this motion have seen sense,"she said.

"I want to thank the business community and my former colleagues on Torbay Council for standing up for me.

"Now I would urge all elected representatives across Devon and Cornwall to stop trying to make headlines and concentrate on the difficult task of making all our communities safer and happier places to live, work and play."
