Last week I used this column to ask you to complete my annual survey on policing priorities. I am pleased to say that since then hundreds of Devon and Cornwall residents have taken the opportunity to have their say on a range of issues.
Earlier this month I attended a major policing conference in London. Amid talks from very senior officers, the new Home Secretary and the Policing Minister there was a lot of discussion about technology, including the use of facial recognition software.
The Police and Crime Commissioner for Devon and Cornwall is asking residents of the force to take five minutes to influence the future of policing in the two counties.
