The director of serious violence prevention provides strategic leadership for the joint Serious Violence Prevention Programme that’s dedicated to reducing the threat of serious violence so that people can live free from the fear of violence, at home, at work and on the streets. The post reports to both the chief constable and the PCCand is responsible for the planning the serious violence prevention portfolio, and influencing the way that mainstream policing budgets are spent. The programme involves partnership working with various partners including politicians, the NHS and local authorities.

Salary: £ 66,852.
